Before all the time sucked and only 9 days 2 we could take a bit of sun a day at the Copa Cabana and a day in Ipanema. These are two of the most famous beaches in the world, I expected a little organization. Forget the bar on the beach, sun beds to lie down and all kinds of comfort: small umbrellas Plant size in the sand and the lifeguard chairs (but call it `is a very flattering term). The water of the ocean, then, is very cold. We remedied by a Brazilian named Carlos Antonio, an apartment facing the beach of Copa Cabana at 200 reals per day (100 each) with 2 bedrooms (one with only a bed and a small closet), 2 bathrooms (one would define service), a sitting room with TV `el kitchenette. It was completely empty so we had to buy toilet paper hip and linen changes and there has been done only once. It is located on Avenida Atlantica to the number 1840. Given the costs are considerably higher than other cities of Rio in Brazil, if a person come here mainly for the sea, should go somewhere else.
The city (as far as the classic monuments) can be visited in 2 days (being large). Christ (Entry 5 real), Pao de Acucar (35 real), Maracana (16 real), Zoo (5 Real), Cathedral. Everything I have mentioned, worth a visit, for those who want to go to Christ the taxi council for two reasons: it is more cost effective to do a piece of road in a taxi and the rest by train and then a taxi because there is no rushing and waiting for your comfortable.
